Terano AI Terms of Service

Article 1 (Nature of the Service)

This website is operated by Terano LLC (テラノ合同会社) under the Terano AI brand. It provides information, tools, and guidance to help people plan and carry out a move to Japan, including the AI Guide, journey resources, consultation booking, career applications, and links to Terano's related services (such as language-school guidance, Learn Japanese resources, Social Media services, and Student Housing Japan).

Unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific feature, we are not a licensed real estate broker, immigration lawyer, or government agency. Content on this site — including AI-generated responses — is general information only and does not constitute legal, visa, tax, or other professional advice.

Some features may connect Users with third-party partners or redirect to separate Terano or partner websites that have their own terms and privacy policies. Use of those separate services is governed by the policies posted on each service.

Fees for paid services, where applicable, are disclosed before purchase in the relevant service agreement or quotation.

Article 2 (Agreement to these Terms)

Users are deemed to have agreed to all provisions of these Terms, without reservation, fully, and irrevocably, when they begin using the Service.

If Users cannot agree to these Terms, they must not use the Service. Please discontinue use immediately.

We do not guarantee the existence, reliability, service content, or conduct of third-party partners. We are not responsible for any communication, negotiation, transaction, contract, or dispute between Users and third parties, including when Users follow links to Student Housing Japan or other partner services.

Non-Compensation for Damages

AI Outputs and Misunderstanding

System Suspension

We may suspend, stop, or terminate all or part of the Service without notice due to maintenance, malfunctions, overload, natural disasters, or other reasons beyond our control, and shall not be liable for resulting damages.

Article 4 (User Responsibilities)

Users shall comply with applicable Japanese laws and regulations and use the Service at their own responsibility.

If disputes arise between Users and third parties in connection with use of the Service, Users shall resolve them at their own expense and responsibility without making claims against us.

If Users violate these Terms or cause damage to us through willful misconduct or negligence, Users shall compensate us for all resulting damages (including attorney's fees).

Users shall not engage in the following when using the Service:

• Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
• Acts that infringe the intellectual property, privacy, reputation, or other rights of us or third parties
• Acts that interfere with operation of the Service (unauthorized access, excessive load, scraping, abuse of AI features, etc.)
• Acts of reproducing, reprinting, or commercially using Service content without our permission
• Any other acts we reasonably determine to be inappropriate

Article 6 (Intellectual Property Rights)

All intellectual property rights in content that constitutes the Service belong to us or rightful third parties.

Article 7 (Amendment of these Terms)

We may amend these Terms at any time at our discretion.

Amended Terms take effect when posted on this site. Continued use after posting constitutes agreement to the amendment.

Article 8 (Severability)

If any provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by Japanese law.

All disputes between Users and us regarding the Service or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
